How do I book an appointment?
To book an appointment with Forward Therapy, please drop me an email at [email protected], call / text me on 07704 794 557 or senc me a message using the ‘contact us’ page
How many sessions will I need?
I know some people would like a clear and definitive number of sessions. However, the number of sessions varies depending on what has brought you to therapy. You are free to end or have breaks with
therapy at any point during our work together.
How do I know if therapy is for me?
We can have a free 15-minute consultation from the comfort of your own home, either over the telephone or face-to-face using Facetime/Zoom/MS Teams. Get in touch and we can arrange a mutually agreeable time to chat and go over any uncertainties.
What is the cost?
Hourly rates start from £55. Sliding scale depending personal circumstances, enquire for more
Do you offer any discounts or payment plans?
Please get in touch to discuss costs and payment options. We do offer discounts for children, students and NHS workers.
How often should I attend therapy?
This varies from person to person. The most common approach is one 60-minute session a week. However, some prefer once every two weeks and others would like much more. I am flexible and happy to be guided by you.
Can you help me in a mental health emergency?
Unfortunately, I am unable to offer a crisis service.
What happens if it is not for me?
You are free to end therapy at any time. We can have a free 15-minute consultation from the comfort of your own home, either over the telephone or face-to-face using Facetime/Zoom/MS Teams. Get in
touch, and we can arrange a mutually agreeable time to chat and discuss any uncertainties.
Do you do diagnostic assessments?
My practice does not include diagnosis. However, I have frequently worked with people who have various conditions, illnesses and disabilities. For some, labels are unimportant; for others, it is part of their identity. I do my best to follow the preferences of all my clients to the best of my ability.
Are sessions confidential?
I take your privacy very seriously, and I respect your life experiences. There are limitations to confidentiality, as with many mental health care services. We can have a free 15-minute consultation from the comfort of your own home, either over the telephone or face-to-face using Facetime/Zoom/MS Teams. Get in touch, and we can arrange a mutually agreeable time to chat and discuss any uncertainties.
I might need to cancel the sessions. How would this work?
Sometimes life can throw unexpected obstacles that can prevent us from attending certain appointments. I do have a policy for last-minute cancellations, but I am flexible, and we can discuss this before you
commit to any sessions.
Where are you, and what are the transport links?
I have a counselling room situated on the ground floor of my family home. There is an external access door meaning you will not see my (sometimes untidy) house. You will feel a safe, private and comforting
environment with the view of the sea from your counselling chair.
The house is very easy to find, situated on a road with ample parking. New Brighton train station is an 8 – 10 minute walk away (without you needing to take a single turn), and Wallasey Grove Road is a 15 – 20
minute walk. There are also regular bus links should you need to take public transport.
